(OTCQB: HLYK) today announced the release of its latest software upgrade to the HealthLynked network that allows physicians to connect with other physicians across the country. This new service facilitates and encourages a number of important interactions among healthcare providers that can significantly improve patient care, such as:

Connecting medical professionals nationwide. By recommending other healthcare providers to physicians based on proprietary algorithms, the upgraded software enables physicians to collaborate. Medical professionals are connected based on each physician’s profile, including their medical specialty, office location, zip code, and education including their university, medical school and residency training.
Connecting other physicians in a provider’s local market. The upgraded software will facilitate patient medical referrals, help physicians engage in discussion regarding the latest developments in treatment options and build additional brand awareness in a physician’s local market.
Connecting healthcare experts across the country to consult on complex medical cases, assuring that patients receive the best medical care. Physicians that are thought leaders in their respective fields can now be accessible by other physicians from across the country.

Patients, on average, have 3 to 4 different healthcare providers depending on the age and number of medical issues of the individual.
